After Thanksgiving Festivities

My camera was being weird so sorry about the fuzzy pictures. I wanted to share them anyways Last year Jeff and I bought us a little 4ft prelit Christmas tree on like 90% off clearance. We were really excited to finally be able to use it!

The day after Christmas I had to work, and Jeff and Amy tackled the Black Friday crowds. When I got home from work, we decorated our Christmas tree and ate more leftovers. Then Jeff and I headed up the Layton for the weekend where we got to decorate another Christmas tree!!

Ashley and Tyler won with their fudge only because they sabotaged our chocolate carmel peacon delights.

My nephew, Zarchary, might also be a part of the conspiracy to ruin our Christmas candies. Look at that sly smile!

Happy Thanksgiving!!

I had to work Thanksgiving day so we stayed in Provo and had a fun little dinner just me, Jeff, and his sister Amy. Because I was at work for most of the day, Jeff and Amy made pretty much everything! They are amazing! My favorite? The TURKEY!!!

I must admit, I was REALLY excited to use my vintage china that I got for my birthday this year!

Look at all the delicious food!!!!! Yams, rolls, cornbread stuffing, deviled eggs, cranberries, pumpkin pie, bannana cream pie, chocolate pie, mashed potatoes, gravy.... did I mention what amazing cooks Jeff and Amy are?

Funny/Sad Story

My Dumpster Diving Husband.I am a little late at posting, so I will be putting up a lot today. I thought I would start with a funny story. Well, I think its funny, but really its quite sad. So after Halloween we decided it was time to throw out our jack-o-lanterns. So Jeff and I each grabbed a pumpkin and headed to the big dumpster for our appartment complex. Jeff, of course, wants to smash his to watch it explode. So he chucks the pumpkin into the dumpster as hard as he can and as the pumkin leaves his hand...so does his wedding ring!!! Usually his ring fits him really well, but we think it was because of the cold temperature. (Your fingers shrink when it is cold right???). SO Jeff wants to jump into the dumpster to find it. The dumpster was just emptied that day so there wasn't much in it. So Jeff jumped in! Gross! I KNOW! Don't worry I made him change into his worst pair of clothes and tennis shoes before. But STILL! ah boys will be boys. So then he was out there for an hour going through all the garbage, and I helped seach on the outside of the dumpster. But NO LUCK! We did not find the ring. It totally sucks that Jeff jumped in a dumpster for NOTHING! So we ended up buying a new one. It looks exactly the same and is the same size. I wanted to get a half size smaller but Jeff thought that it was too tight. I guess next time he looses it, we'll go a half size smaller! What did we learn from this? Smashing pumpkins is bad luck!

New Job

Well, as some of you may already know, I quit my job last week. Last friday was my last day. I wasn't very happy there and it was just getting worse. After putting in my notice, I started putting out job applications and interviewing at a few places, but it was a bit stressful not having a job and wondering if I was stupid for quiting my job before I had another job lined up. Thankfully I was only unemployed for a total of 5 days :) I now work for Heritage School, a residential treatment center for at-risk adolescents, as a Youth Counselor. Im really excited for this job- as part of the interview process I had to work with a girl's unit for a couple hours and I really enjoyed it. I will actually be able to do something that I went to school for!!
