Clarke Family Reunion

This weekend we drove south to Paraguana for the Clarke Family Reunion! We had the best time, and it was great to see everyone again. As always, it was way too short! Here's my nephew Brain. I love taking his picture. Babies are so photogenic!

Jeff had quite the challenge to learn all of my cousin's names this weekend- I have 39 cousins! By the end he could name off everyone's name, who their parents were, and where they were from. Good job Jeff!

Jamie and Becca

Jamie and her husband Mark. They were just married last week in the Nauvoo temple. Congratulations Jamie and Mark!

Saturday afternoon, Jeff and I sneaked away from the cabin to go for a walk and practice our photography skills. As you can tell, this cabin in out in the middle of nowhere- We loved it!

Happy Birthday to Me!

Yea for birthdays! I just wanted to thank everyone who wished me a happy birthday. You guys are the best!!! Jeff made my birthday extra special! He made me an amazing breakfast, surprised me with my favorite flowers- Gerbera Daisies- and cooked up a great dinner complete with angel food cake with chocolate cream cheese frosting! YUM! (Are you asking why all the candles are bunched up on the top there? Well, OBVIOUSLY, they are suposed to write out 22).

We celebrated my birthday a week early because it fell on the Saturday of the Clarke family reunion. So on my actual birthday, my sister Jessica surprised me and made a cake at the cabin- it was awesome. I don't think I've ever had 2 birthday cakes before! (I look disheveled because we are camping- please ignore the hair)

Our First Interview!!

Jeff has his first med. school interview August 4th! We just heard word today. Looks like he is part of the very first week of interviews at UT San Antonio. Med school here we come!!!

Salas Family Reunion

I've been so busy with school that I'm a bit late posting my pictures. About 2 weeks ago, Jeff and I went camping with all of my family at Pine View. We had a blast! We love to camp! We were so excited to use our new tent and sleeping bags! Here we are- I love our matching shirts! My sister Ashley made them. Aren't they fun? The blue shirts say BYU and that brown thing sitting next to Jeff (on the t-shirt) is a rat!

Stadium of Fire

Last night Jeff and I worked at the Stadium of Fire. We worked security which meant we got to wear all black with an official bright yellow vest with SECURITY across the front and back, and of course sun glasses to ensure we looked intimidating! Why did we need to look so intimidating? So we can tell everyone they must throw away all their water bottles! (liquids are a security threat). It was great fun, on top of earning a bit of extra money, we got to listen to Hanna Montana (not our favorite) and Blue Man Group (Awesome!) and best of all we had amazing seats for the firework show! We were so close that we were hit with sparks falling from the sky!

As we were doing our security job duties, Blue Man Group walked right past us!!!
