Steamroller

This is the steamroller that Jeff mentioned earlier. It's hard to describe, but basically it is where Jeff and Christine roll around on the carpet. Christine loves it and just giggles and giggles when Jeff plays it with her.

Grandma's Trip

Christine loved having Grandma at our house last month

And why wouldn't she? Grandma gives her chocolate chip cookies!

and let's her sit at the table like a big kid

and Christine's favorite, took her on walks every day to see the squirrels.

We did a lot of fun things with Grandma while she was here. We went to the zoo, the art museum, the Quilt Festival, and the Nutcracker Market. We tied off two quilts and worked on crafty projects. And best of all my kitchen was magically clean every day!!!

We love you Grandma!

Pumpkin Carving

Our first Halloween in Houston Jeff told me he wanted to invited his buddy from med school and his wife over to our house so I could meet them. We played board games and we may have watched a movie (I can't remember). Now 3 years later (and 3 babies later!), we are still continuing our tradition of Halloween fun.

This year was much better than last year when Jeff and I attempted to carve pumpkins while trading off holding a screaming baby.

We still had to trade off, but it was to entertain the kiddos! Liam and Dash have lots of cool toys and books.

Unfortunately, even without the colicky baby Jeff and I still lost the pumpkin carving contest. Jeff made the Pooh Bear pumpkin inspired by Christine's favorite sippy cup, and I made the BOO pumpkin. It was a lot cooler in my head. If I were to do it again I would print out the letters in a cool font beforehand and trace the letters onto the pumpkin. The little pumpkins are Liam, Dash, and Christine's. They LOVED hauling their little pumpkins around the house with them.

After carving pumpkins we played outside (we are VERY jealous of their yard... I dream of having our own little outdoor space!) Liam and Dash have the COOLEST slide that Christine loved playing on. Then Katie took some family pictures of us so we can have an updated one on our wall.

Halloween

Thanksgiving is tomorrow, that means I should probably get our Halloween photos up for everyone to see.

If you can't tell, we were inspired from one of Christine's favorite books Alice in Wonderland (original Disney style). I was Alice, Jeff was the mad hatter, and Christine was the White Rabbit

I crocheted this bunny hat for her to wear but it was too hot to wear that day.

My favorite piece was Jeff's hat. I used foam and covered it in green felt. I think it turned out amazing. Isn't Jeff's hair hilarious? he put a ton of gel and hair spray in it to get it to stick out like the mad hatter's. If you are wondering what is in Christine's hands, it's candy. I did not give it to her, she fished it out of my basket. Silly girl, she's never been introduced to candy buy innately knows that it's really good stuff.

Jeff and I are the activity coordinators for our ward (since they got rid of the activities committees) and so we helped the Primary put together the Trunk or Treat. We had a couple carnival style games and Jeff and I ran the fishing game- that is what the white sheet with a fish on it is in the background. Christine was the cutest while rabbit ever and she loved running around with all her little friends.

Pumpkin Patch

A week before Halloween Jeff took a little time out from studying to go the pumpkin patch with us. It wasn't really a pumpkin patch, it was a park with a bunch of pumpkins brought in. We enjoyed walking around and spending time with Jeff.

It was a hot day so we bought a snow cone and let Christine have a taste.

Christine then claimed it for her own.
